Riverdale, NY - Manhattan volleyball fell to third-ranked Rider in a MAAC match-up on Wednesday, November 7 in Draddy Gymnasium.
With the three set-loss, Manhattan drops to 4-25 on the year and 2-14 in the league. Rider improves to 17-9 and 12-5 in the MAAC.
Highlights:
- The Broncs took the match 25-14, 25-16, and 25-14.
- The Jaspers led the team blocking game 5-4 over Rider, with sophomore Erin Hoener (St. Louis, MO / Incarnate Word) earning a match-high three blocks. She now has 76 blocks on the season to lead Manhattan, including 21 solo blocks.
- Hoener added five kills to her night, tying teammate Vivian Donovan (Newport Beach, CA / Newport Harbor) for the team-high. Sandra Lozanova (Pernik, Bulgaria / Fresno State) added four for Manhattan.
- Freshman Abby Wilde (Parkesberg, PA / Octorora) earned a career-high 16 assists against the Broncs. Her previous best was 14 earned against Lafayette on August 31.
- Sophomore Reyn Hoffman (Ventura, CA / Ventura) earned 14 digs in the match to pace Manhattan in the libero spot. Donovan added seven.
- Rider's Hailey Riede and Alexa Shello tied for a match-high 11 kills. Teammate Anilee Sher put up a match-high 31 assists.
