Washington, DC - Manhattan (2-4) registered season-highs in forced turnovers (21) and steals (13), but it wasn't enough as George Washington (1-5) posted a 70-43 win in non-conference action at the Smith Center.
With the score tied at 8-8 with just over 13 minutes to play in the first half, the Colonials scored 15-straight points en route to entering halftime up by a 35-16 count.
GW was able to take control of the game in the opening stanza thanks to shooting 59.1 percent from the floor while posting an 18-12 advantage on the glass.
Sophomore Ebube Ebube (San Juan, Puerto Rico / Lawrenceville Academy (NJ)) led the way for Manhattan with a career-high matching nine points and 10 rebounds while graduate student Ibrahima Diallo (Dakar, Senegal / Rutgers) also matched his career-high with nine markers.
Freshman Elijah Buchanan (Bronx, NY / Woodstock Academy (CT)) had a solid game with six points, five rebounds, five steals and two assists while classmate Christian Hinckson (Queens, NY / Tilton School (NH)) added six points and four rebounds.
DJ Williams scored 16 points while Arnaldo Toro had 11 points and 13 rebounds to pace the Colonials.

* Junior Pauly Paulicap (Elmont, NY / Harcum College) made his season debut, playing five minutes.
* Ebube registered double-figures on the glass for the second time this year.
* Manhattan's 13 steals are the most since recording 13 against Rider on March 2, 2017.
* The Jaspers registered a 28-20 advantage on points in the paint.
* Freshman Samir Stewart (Fort Lauderdale, FL / American Heritage) had five points and three assists, against just one turnover, in 28 minutes.
