Riverdale, NY -
 Manhattan (1-1-0) will host Fordham (1-1-0) in the annual Battle of the Bronx on Friday, August 25 at 4:00 pm at Gaelic Park before making the short trek to square off with Hartford (0-1-0) on Sunday, August 27 at 2:00 pm.

For Starters
Thanks to its 1-0 win over NJIT, Manhattan improved to 14-12-1, all-time, in season openers and has won five of its last six lidlifters.

Weekend Of Firsts
Senior Maria Clemente's first career goal proved to be the game-winner against NJIT. In the Jaspers' 2-1 loss at Binghamton, freshman Lindsey Healy notched her first career goal off of classmate Sophie Demurjian's first assist.

DYK?
The Healy-Demurjian scoring combination marked the first time a pair of Manhattan freshmen combined on a scoring play since senior Dylan Burns and Carly Perry did so against Saint Peter's did so on October 29, 2014.

Newcomers Making Noise
Seven different newcomers have seen action for the Jaspers this year with freshmen Sydney Hardwood and Shelby Jones starting each game.

Copping With The Assist
Clemente's aforementioned game-winner came of an assist from junior Nicole Copping. The helper was the seventh of Copping's career and the first since her freshman year.

Three's Company
Junior Olivia Printy notched her third career shutout in the win, making three saves.

We Must Protect This House!
Friday's match with Fordham is the second of four non-conference home matches to go along with five MAAC match-ups.

Scouting The Rams
Fordham, which won 10 games a year ago, is 1-1 after defeating Nevada before falling to Saint Mary's.

The Series
The Rams have won each of the last three match-ups and lead the all-time series by a 15-11-1 count with 15 of the 27 matches decided by just one goal.

Home Field Advantage
Six of the teams' last seven match-ups have been won by the home team while Manhattan is 5-6-1, all-time, when hosting Fordham.

A Year Ago …
The Hawks bested the Jaspers by a 1-0 count and lead the all-time series by a 2-1-0 count.

Senior Nicole Aylmer propelled Manhattan to a thrilling 1-0 victory despite seeing the visitors being outshot by a 21-3 count.

Manhattan was slated to finish seventh in annual preseason poll with Modena being named preseason All-MAAC.  

Head Coach Brendan Lawler ...
Returns for his eighth year at the helm of the program. In 2015, he guided the Jaspers to the program's first MAAC Championship appearance and was lauded as the league's Coach of the Year.

The Process
Lawler is 26-24-6 (14-11-6 MAAC) over his last three years after going 19-49-5 (8-26-2) in his first four years.
