Lake Buena Vista, FL – The Manhattan Golf team will begin play at the three-day 2016 MAAC Championships on Friday, April 21 with freshman Preston Shortell opening up play for the Jaspers at 9:00 am at Disney's Magnolia Golf Course.

Chasing History
After finishing second at last year's event, the Jaspers will be looking for their first team title.
A Year Ago ...
Siena defeated Manhattan in a one-hole playoff to claim the MAAC Championship as junior Ryan Lynch placed second en route to earning All-MAAC honors with a 217 (+1).
Balance
Senior Connor O'Rourke, junior Ryan Lynch, classmate Charles Seward and Shortell all paced the Jaspers on the course this season.
Leading The Way
O'Rourke led Manhattan in a team-high four events, including twice during the spring.
The Best
Seward became jut the third Jasper golfer to claim an individual crown when he won the Monmouth Invitational this past fall.
The Sunshine State
The three-day event will a homecoming of sorts for Florida natives Lynch, O'Rourke and Seward.
Seeds
Defending MAAC Men's Champion Siena is ranked first going into the opening round of play. Fairfield is seeded second with the Jaspers third. Saint Peter's is fourth, followed by Monmouth, Iona, Rider, Canisius, Niagara.

At the close of each day of competition, the recap highlights will be posted to MAAC.TV and also be played on Disney's in-room channel. This channel is available at various resorts on the Disney property.

Round three of the tournament will be streamed live on ESPN3 on Sunday, April 23 at 10:00 am.
NCAA Championships
The 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Golf Championship selection show will also be televised the following week on the Golf Channel, Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
