BOSTON – Paige Chapman (Abingdon, MD) of the Manhattan College women's track & field team captured the gold medal in the 60 meters at the ECAC Indoor Championships from Boston University's Track & Tennis Center on Sunday.  With the victory, she became the Jaspers' first female ECAC champion since Andrea Nyback won the pentathlon in 2013.

Chapman, who qualified with the second-fastest time, ran one-hundredth of a second faster than her semifinal race.  With a time of 7.56 seconds, she edged Bria Saunders of Rutgers for the gold.

Kelly Gorman (South Amboy, NJ) added one point to Manhattan's team score with an eighth-place finish in the 800 meters.  Her time was 2:14.62.

Overall, the Jaspers tallied 20 team points to finish in a tie for 13th place.  Albany claimed the team title with 62 points.

On the men's side, Ryan Addlesberger (Cinnaminson, NJ) secured six team points with a third-place showing in the shot put.  His best effort was 17.17 meters (56 feet, four inches).

Manhattan finished with a team score of 26 points to place ninth in the men's IC4A Championships.  Albany also won the IC4A team title after tallying 88 points.

With the indoor season now complete, the Jaspers will turn their attention towards the outdoor campaign.  Manhattan's first outdoor meet will be the Dennis Craddock Carolina Relays on March 17-18.
