Riverdale, NY - Manhattan College will take on the Fordham Rams Wednesday, November 29 in the 2017 Battle of the Bronx. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. in Draddy Gymnasium.

Top Storylines:
  • The Jaspers and Rams have played at least once every season since 1978- 79, Manhattan's first year as a varsity program. The all-time series is tied 24-24, though Fordham has won the last six meetings between the schools.
  • Trailing by three with the ball in the final seconds, the Jaspers saw their game-tying three-point attempt fall short as the Rams posted a 63-60 victory at Rose Hill Gym last year. G'mrice Davis was named the Mike Cohen Most Outstanding Player after collecting 24 points and 18 rebounds for the Rams. Amani Tatum had 13 points, all in the second half, to lead the Jaspers, as well as four assists and two steals.
  • The most outstanding player from this Battle of the Bronx game will receive the Doc Johnson Award from Manhattan College. A longtime trainer for both Manhattan College and the New York Giants of the NFL, Johnson was considered the backbone of Manhattan's athletics department for decades. He was elected to the Manhattan College Hall of Fame in 1982.
