The Jaspers improve to 3-0-0 in the MAAC and 6-4-0 overall, while the Peacocks fall to 0-3-0 in MAAC play and 1-6-2 in 2017. Manhattan has shut out its opponent for the third consecutive game.

Joseph-Buadi wasted no time trying to ignite the offense. In the third minute of play, he unleashed a shot that was corralled by Peacocks goalkeeper Robbie Anderson.

Moments later, Saint Peter's tested Gohier in net. Dominic Laws launched the ball to Gohier in the fifth minute, but the keeper scooped it up. Gohier made another stop on Santiago Mateus' header 1:13 later.

The two sides went back and forth until Manhattan caught a break in the 30th minute. Sophomore Tristan Doran's (Jupiter, FL / Benjamin) throw-in deflected off a Peacocks defender and past Anderson to put Manhattan on top 1-0. The play was credited as an own goal on Saint Peter's.

In the second half, Joseph-Buadi started Manhattan's attack with a shot that went wide right in the 55th minute. Saint Peter's countered four minutes afterwards with a Jordan Jowers opportunity that Gohier picked up.

After Joseph-Buadi exited the pitch in the 68th minute, he re-entered the match in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, he received a pass from junior Ryan Shields (Standish, Wigan, England / Standish Community) and deposited it in net to cap the scoring.
