Jake Freeman Competes at U.S. National Championships

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships got underway on Thursday at Sacramento State University's Hornet Stadium with Manhattan College Hall of Famer Jake Freeman in action in the men's hammer throw.

Freeman, unfortunately, was eliminated after fouling on each of his three attempts.  Kibwe Johnson, Freeman's teammate at Nike/New York Athletic Club, won the National Championship with a toss of 74.16 meters (243 feet, four inches).
