ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Manhattan College's Mohamed Koita (Cergy, France) finished 15th in the men's high jump at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday.  Appearing at the indoor NCAA meet for the first time, Koita cleared 2.10 meters (six feet, 10¾ inches) in the competition at the AlbuquerqueConvention Center.

The first Jasper to compete at the NCAA Indoor Championships since shot putter Milan Jotanovic in 2009, Koita needed all three of his attempts to get over the bar at 2.10 m (6'10¾).  He was then eliminated with three misses at 2.15 m (7'0½).  Florida State's James Harris captured the national title with a leap of 2.32 m (7'7¼).

By qualifying for the NCAA Championships, Koita assured himself All-America status.  He will be named Second Team All-American for the second time.  Koita previously earned Second Team All-America recognition after finishing 16th at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships.
