EAST MEADOW, N.Y. - The Manhattan men's and women's swimming and diving teams concluded the final session of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Winter Championships at the Nassau County Aquatic Center on Sunday.
The Manhattan women's side finished the event in 5th place, while the men's squad earned 4th place in the competition.
Junior Michaela Schatz, sophomores Madison Brown and Sara Buckley and freshman Alexandra Hutzler were named Women's Performers of the Meet by the Manhattan coaching staff for their solid contributions to the team.
On the men's side, junior Thomas Dougherty, sophomores Rich Llewellyn and Christopher Reyes and freshman Neil Perry were tabbed Manhattan Performers of the Meet.
"I was very pleased with how both teams competed throughout the three-day event," said Jaspers head coach Walter Olsewski. "Although neither team broke a school record on Sunday, the men and women gave it their all the entire way through."
Both teams return to action on Friday, Jan. 9, when they take on Colorado College at 2 p.m. in Honolulu, Hawaii.
