Results

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – A small contingent of sprinters from the Manhattan College men's indoor track & field team were in action at the Yale Season Opener at Coxe Cage on Saturday afternoon.  The Jaspers posted a number of impressive times, including Justin Alleyne's (New Rochelle, N.Y.) victory in the 500 meters.

Running in his first race for Manhattan, Alleyne, a transfer who ran for the University of Connecticut last year, notched a time of 1:06.04 to win the 500.  He was also a member of the 4x400 meter relay squad that finished third in 3:23.09.  Will Stallings (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.) had an impressive debut, as well.  He grabbed fourth in the 200 meters with a time of 22.57 seconds.  Anthony Hall (Mountainville, N.Y.), meanwhile, took third in the 60 meters, finishing in 7.02 seconds.

The Jaspers will compete in one more December meet before taking nearly a month off.  The Brother Jasper Invitational gets underway at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Draddy Gymnasium.
