LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - The Manhattan women's swimming and diving team fell to Siena, 137-78, in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) meet on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the squad drops to 3-5 on the season, including an 0-4 record against conference opponents.
Sophomore Madison Brown and freshman Alexandra Hutzler were tabbed Manhattan Swimmers of the Meet for the second consecutive competition.
Brown earned one team and two individual second place results. In the 200 medley relay, Brown, Hutzler, senior Kerry Schuermann and sophomore Sara Buckley grabbed a second place result. In individual events, Brown earned second place finishes in the 200 free, racing to a 2:02.96, and the 200 backstroke, touching in at 2:15.83.
Hutzler earned a first place finish in the 200 individual medley, clocking a 2:16.64 to defeat her closest competitor by .93 seconds. The freshman also finished first in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:31.23.
In the final race of the night, the Jaspers took first place with a 1:46.94 in the 200 freestyle relay. Juniors Michaela Schatz and Paige Raccioppi, sophomore Patricia Colton, and freshman Eileen Blood comprised the winning team.
Colton also placed second in two individual races on the night, with times of 26.03 in the 50 freestyle and 57.24 in the 100 freestyle.
The Jaspers will return to action on Wednesday, Dec. 3, when the squad takes on Fordham. The meet is scheduled for 6 p.m.
