RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan women's swimming team dropped a meet to Sacred Heart, 116-88, on Friday night at the Riverdale Country Day School.

With the defeat, the Jaspers move to 3-4 on the fall.

Sophomore Madison Brown and freshman Alexandra Hutzler were named Manhattan Swimmers of the Meet for their strong showings in the squad's first home event of the season.

Brown earned first place in the 200 freestyle event, clocking a 2:04.03 to narrowly defeat her closest opponent by .29 seconds.

Hutzler finished first in the 100 butterfly, swimming to a 1:01.10. She also took first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.75. Her slimmest margin of victory in the events came by 3.31 seconds.

The Jaspers are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 22, when the team returns to the pool to take on Siena in a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) meet in New York state. The competition is set to begin at 12 p.m.
