Men's Golf Finishes 13th at St. Barnabas Intercollegiate

BEDMINSTER, N.J. - The Manhattan College men's golf team shaved seven strokes off its day one score and improved to 13th place on the final day of the St. Barnabas Health Intercollegiate at Fiddler's Elbow Country Club on Monday.

Sophomore Michael Giannico led the way for the Jaspers, with a pair of 78s on Sunday and Monday. Senior Chris Calabro shot a four-over 76 on Monday to finish with the second-best card on the squad. 

Senior Paul Toohey also shaved a stroke off his day one score with a 79 on Monday, while sophomore James Edgeworth finished five strokes better on Monday also. His round of 82 on Monday was five strokes better than his Sunday result. Sophomore Ross Ketner finished the tournament with an 89 on Monday.

Minnesota took home the team championship for the tournament, shooting 291-280=571 over the two days. Temple finished second and the host Seton Hall Pirates were third.

That concludes the fall season for the Jaspers, who will begin the spring season on Sunday, March 23 at the La Salle Spring Invitational.
