ABOUT THE GAME
The Jaspers (5-11, 2-3 MAAC) hit the road for the sixth time in eight games for this afternoon's matchup against Fairfield (10-6, 4-1 MAAC) at Alumni Hall.  Manhattan snapped a three-game losing streak with a 62-50 victory over Loyola on Friday afternoon.  Fairfield has won three straight, including a 60-54 triumph at Iona on Friday, and currently sits in second place in the MAAC.  After today's game, Manhattan plays five of its next six at home, starting with a 4 p.m. matchup against Marist on Friday that will be broadcast on ESPN3.

ABOUT THE JASPERS
Manhattan (5-11, 2-3 MAAC) snapped its three-game losing streak with a 62-50 victory over Loyola on Friday.  Junior guard Monica Roeder paces the Jaspers offensively.  She averages 11.6 points per game and ranks second in the MAAC with 2.1 three-pointers per outing.  Freshman forward Shayna Ericksen is Manhattan's leader in rebounds (7.7 rpg) and blocks (1.1 bpg).  She also ranks second on the squad in scoring (9.1 ppg), and her 1.9 steals per game are second-most on the team.  Senior forward Toni-Ann Lawrence contributes 8.8 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest, while senior guard Allison Skrec hands out a team-best 4.4 assists per night to go along with a team-leading 2.0 steals per game.  After playing six of their last eight on the road, the Jaspers will play five of their next six contests at Draddy Gymnasium, starting with a 4 p.m. matchup against Marist on Friday that will be broadcast live on ESPN3.

ABOUT THE STAGS
The second-place Stags (10-6, 4-1 MAAC) have won three straight, including a 60-54 triumph at Iona on Friday.  Junior forward Katie Cizynski leads Fairfield in both scoring and rebounding.  She averages 12.4 points and 8.9 boards per outing.  Junior forward Brittany Obi-Tabot contributes 10.9 points per game, while junior guard Alexys Vazquez and senior guard Katelyn Linney rank 1-3 in the MAAC in three-point field goals.  Vazquez sinks 2.4 treys per game and also ranks second in the league in thre-point percentage (.437), and Linney drains 2.0 three-pointers per contest.  Linney also leads the MAAC in minutes played (35.6).  Sophomore guard Felicia DaCruz distributes a team-leading 3.1 assists per game.  Fairfield allows a league-low 52.1 points per game and holds its opponents to just .225 shooting from three-point range.  The Stags conclude their three-game homestand with contests against Siena and Niagara next weekend.

SERIES HISTORY
Fairfield won both meetings last season, posting a 63-59 victory at Draddy Gymnasium on Jan. 7, 2012, and a 58-49 triumph at Webster Bank Arena at Harbor Yard on Jan. 27, 2012.  It marked the first time since 2007-08 that the Stags swept the season series.  Manhattan has faced Fairfield more than any other opponent in program history.  This is the 75th all-time meeting between the teams, and the Stags lead the series 38-36.

LAST GAME--Manhattan 62, Loyola 50
In front of more than 500 local students on "Kid's Day Out" at Draddy Gymnasium, Manhattan snapped its three-game losing streak with a 62-50 victory over Loyola on Friday.  The Greyhounds scored the first six points of the game and led 9-2 before the Jaspers went on a 19-0 run to open up a 21-9 advantage.  The margin reached as many as 16 points in the first half, and the Jaspers held a 29-16 edge at the break.  Loyola cut its deficit to seven at 42-35 midway through the second half, but Manhattan responded with an 11-1 rally to open up its biggest lead of the game, a 53-36 cushion with 5:14 remaining.  The Greyhounds again got within seven, 57-50, with less than a minute left, but the Jaspers made five straight free throws down the stretch to finish off a 62-50 win.  Ashley Stec paced Manhattan offensively with a career-high 14 points, while Toni-Ann Lawrence added 12 points and eight rebounds.
