Calabro Named Men?s Golf Captain

Calabro Paces Manhattan to 10th Place Finish

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Junior Chris Calabro shot a combined 153 score, including a five-over 76 on Saturday, to pace Manhattan to a 10th place finish at the Peter King Memorial Golf Tournament and Long Island National Golf Course over the weekend. His scored placed him in a tie for 14th, giving him his second top-15 finish of the spring.

Sophomore Matthew Creamer rebounded after an opening round 82, to shoot a six-over 77 on Sunday and give him a total score of 159 in the event. Jonathan Feuer finished his tournament with a 161 while Paul Toohey shot an overall 163. Freshman Mike Schutsky also competed in the tournament with a total 166 outing.

The Jaspers finished with a combined 636 score, finishing in a tie with Concordia College for 10th place out of 18 schools. UMASS Lowell took home the overall team title while Daeman College, American International College, Bentley University and St. Thomas Aquinas rounded out the top five.

Manhattan hits the course once again on Fri., April 6 when they travel to Yale University Golf Course in New Haven, Conn. for the Yale Spring Opener.
