Manhattan Golf Finishes 13th at Lafayette Invitational

RIVERDALE, N.Y. -
 The Manhattan men's golf team made a 10 stroke improvement in round two of the Lafayette Invitational as the Jaspers finished 13th overall with a 646 two day team score. Jaspers' junior Matthew Creamer shot a team leading 75 in the final 18 holes on Monday and tied for 35th individually with a 157 two round score.

Hofstra won the event posting a team score of 600 over the two days. Tournament host Lafayette finished in second place behind the strong play of individual winner Carter Rufe who shot a 66 in round two. Rufe's 144 final score tied with Jeremy Foran from St. Francis (Pa.), but Rufe took the individual title after winning a playoff.

Manhattan sophomore Chris Calabro tied for 58th overall with a 162 over the two day event, which featured an 80 in round two. Jaspers senior Pat Bibaud also posted an 80 during Monday's round, while freshman Mike Schutsky recorded an 83 to finish with a 164 in the two rounds that tied for 66th place.

The Jaspers next event is scheduled for April 23 when Manhattan participates at the Peacock Invitational at the Neshanic Golf Club in Neshanic Station, N.J.
