ECAC Championships Complete Results
BOSTON - Courtesy of Kevin D'Emic (Rockaway Point, N.Y.), the Manhattan College men's indoor track & field team earned three more team points at the IC4A Championships, ending the meet with 12 points to finish in a tie for 24th place. D'Emic captured sixth place in the 800 meters, posting a time of 1:52.22 at Boston University's Track & Tennis Center on Sunday.
Greg Perrier (Dix Hills, N.Y.) was also in the 800 final. He finished ninth in 1:59.11. Also on Sunday, Colin Quirke (Los Gatos, Calif.) led a trio of Jaspers in the men's shot put. He placed 16th with a best effort of 15.70 meters (51 feet, 6¼ inches). In the heptathlon, Felix Siljeback-Larsen (Vasteras, Sweden) tallied 4091 points, good enough for 13th place.
At the women's ECAC Championships, which were held across town at the Reggie Lewis Center, Cara Rostant (Valley Stream, N.Y.) contested the final of the 200 meters, where she finished ninth in 24.96 seconds. Overall, the Jaspers ended up 36th in the team standings with six points.
For Manhattan, the ECAC/IC4A Championships marked the conclusion of the indoor season. The Jaspers open the outdoor campaign with their annual trip to Tempe, Ariz., for the Baldy Castillo Invitational on March 16-17.
