ABOUT THE GAME
The Jaspers (1-2) return to Draddy Gymnasium this afternoon for a matchup with Fairleigh Dickinson (0-4).  Manhattan is looking to rebound from a 70-60 loss at Cornell on Tuesday night, while the Knights have been off since last Sunday, when they dropped a 54-47 decision at Columbia.  Today's contest rmarks the beginning of a span in which Manhattan plays four of its next five at home, with the short trip to Fordham on Wednesday night representing the only road game.

ABOUT THE JASPERS
Manhattan (1-2) dropped a 70-60 decision at Cornell on Tuesday night.  Junior guard Monica Roeder, who tallied 16 points against the Big Red, paces the Jaspers and ranks fifth in the MAAC with 14.3 points per game.  She also drains 2.7 three-pointers per contest.  Senior forward Toni-Ann Lawrence contributes 11.0 points a night  and leads the MAAC in field goal percentage (.619).  In addition, Lawrence ranks second on the team in rebouding (5.3 rpg), assists (2.3 apg) and steals (2.3 spg).  Freshman Shayna Ericksen leads the Jaspers with 5.7 rebounds per outing to go along with 10.3 points per game.  Ericksen established a career-high with 16 points against Cornell.  Senior guard Ondya Morgan is tied for second in the MAAC in both assists and steals.  She averages 4.0 assists and 3.0 steals per contest.  Today's game begins a span where Manhattan plays four out of its next five at Draddy Gymnasium.

ABOUT THE KNIGHTS
Fairleigh Dickinson (0-4) has had a week off since a 54-47 loss at Columbia last Sunday.  Sophomore center Erika Livermore, a member of last season's NEC All-Rookie Team, is averaging a double-double for the Knights.  She tallies 14.0 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.  Livermore is shooting .512 from the field.  Junior guard Danielle Pankey contributes 12.5 points and 5.5 boards a night, while also collecting 2.5 steals per game.  Sophomore guard Stephanie Isaacs, the twin sister of Manhattan's Nicole, is the Knights' top three-point shooter.  She drains 1.8 treys per outing.  Sophomore guard Amanda Andrades hads out 4.8 asssists per contest, and junior forward Desiree Crawford averages 1.5 blocks per game.  Crawford also pulls down 4.5 rebounds an outing.  The Knights, who were picked to finish 10th in the Northeast Conference Preseason Poll, are the midst of a season-opening span where they play 11 of their first 13 games away from home.

SERIES HISTORY
The Jaspers and Knights have met 16 times previously, and Manhattan holds an 11-5 edge in the all-time series.  The squads last met on Dec. 15, 2007, when Fairleigh Dickinson notched a 60-59 overtime victory at the Rothman Center.  The Jaspers' last win over the Knights came on Nov. 13, 2006, when they posted a 70-61 triumph at Draddy Gymnasium.

LAST GAME--Cornell 70, Manhattan 60
After trailing by as many as 12 points in the second half, the Jaspers rallied to take the lead before falling, 70-60, to Cornell at Newman Arena on Tuesday night.  Cornell led 41-29 with 15:37 left to play, but the Jaspers responded with a 13-0 run and eventually pulled in front, 42-41, on a layup by Shayna Ericksen at the 11:31 mark.  However, after the teams traded one-point leads five times in the next minute, the Big Red went on a 9-2 run to go up eight, 59-51, with 4:53 remaining.  The Jaspers pulled within four at 64-60 with 49 seconds to go, but Cornell went 6-for-6 at the line down the stretch to seal a 70-60 victory.  Ericksen had a career-high 16 points to go along with six rebounds, while Monica Roeder also had 16 points and Toni-Ann Lawrence chipped in a career-high 13 points.

SISTER ACT
Manhattan sophomore guard Nicole Isaacs will take the court against her twin sister, Stephanie, for the first time this afternoon.  The sisters were teammates all their life before deciding to attend different colleges.  Stephanie Isaacs, a sophomore guard for Fairleigh Dickinson, wears No. 22, the same number as Nicole.
