RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Six Manhattan Jasper golfers will be heading to their first tournament of the 2011 fall season this weekend. Patrick Bibaud, Robert Kehoe, Chris Crittelli, Chris Calabro, Marc Delzio and Paul Toohey will each participate in the Central Connecticut State Blue Devil Fall Invitational at Wethersfield Country Club in Wethersfield, Conn.
The Jaspers are coming off a 2010-2011 season in which they finished seventh in the MAAC Championships back in May. Toohey, a sophomore, is back after an impressive rookie campaign, as is second year player Chris Calabro who led Manhattan in the conference tournament last year. This tournament marks the first of six to be played this fall before the season resumes in the spring.
Manhattan is one of twelve schools competing this weekend. Other schools included in the CCSU Invitational are host Central Connecticut State, American International, Bryant, George Washington, Hofstra, Holy Cross, Laval, Rhode Island, Sacred Heart, St. Francis, and MAAC rival Rider. The tournament will begin on Friday, Sept. 9 and conclude on Sunday, Sept. 11.
