Manhattan Falls In Only Dual Match of Fall

RIVERDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattan Men's Golf team faced off with St. Peter's in their only dual match of the fall season today at Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, N.Y. The Jaspers were fresh off a team win this weekend at the Susquehanna Invitational but could not carry the momentum falling by a combined score of 11-1 to the Peacocks.

The event featured eight golfers from both teams split in to two foursomes. Each foursome played a team match against one another with each individual golfer also having a solo match with their opponent. All matches were with one point, with every golfer having the potential to earn three total points.

Pat Bibaud and Mike Schutsky were the only two Jaspers who were able to score points, tying their individual matches to gain ½ point each. All other matches went the way of St. Peter's. The only two Manhattan golfers who did not participate in the event were Paul Toohey and Chris Calabro.

The Jaspers will be back in action on Thursday, Sept. 29 when they take part in the ECAC Fall Championships at Twisted Dune Country Club in Egg Harbor Township, N.J.
