RIVERDALE, N.Y. -
Jasper seniors Mark Onorati and Chad Salem blasted homers, while freshman starter Jared Hirschberg pitched six strong innings helping Manhattan (8-11, 3-0 MAAC) earn a 5-3 victory at Siena (7-13, 0-3 MAAC) on Sunday. Nick Camastro and Mike McCann also recorded RBIs as the Jaspers completed a three-game series sweep with the Saints.

Siena second baseman Dan Paolini got the Saints on the scoreboard in the first inning with a RBI double to left field to take a 1-0 lead. Salem retaliated for the Jaspers in the third inning with his third home run of the season to lock the game at one apiece. Salem, Manhattan's batting average leader (.377) this season, went 2-for-3 from the plate marking his 10th multi-hit contest of the season.

Onorati gave Manhattan a 3-1 lead in the fourth inning when he launched his fourth home run of the year, a two-run shot that sailed over the left field wall. Siena pulled within one run in the fifth inning when senior outfielder Kyle Hudson scored on a throwing error, but the Jaspers expanded their lead to 5-2 in the sixth inning with Camastro's RBI triple and McCann's RBI single.

Siena worked another unearned run off of Hirschberg in the sixth inning before the freshman from Katonah, N.Y. turned the ball over to the bullpen with a 5-3 lead. Hirschberg struck out three batters, yielded five hits and only one earned run to pick up his second win of the season.

Jaspers' junior lefty reliever Matt Jordan pitched a hitless final three frames to secure the victory. The Kingston, N.Y. native struck out three and walked just one batter to earn his first save of the season.

Saints' starting pitcher Zach Hartman was accessed the loss going 5 1/3 innings and allowing four earned runs. The senior right hander struck out six batters and walked five.

Manhattan returns to action on Wednesday when the Jaspers travel to Fairleigh Dickinson. First pitch is slated for 3:30 p.m.
