WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME
Manhattan saw its seven-game winning streak come to an end with a 60-42 loss to No. 24 Marist at the McCann Center on Friday night. The Red Foxes scored the first eight points of the game and led 22-4 before consecutive baskets by Lindsey Loutsenhizer and Monica Roeder midway through the first half. Marist took a 39-16 advantage into the locker room, but Manhattan opened the second half on an 8-4 run to get back within 19 points. However, the deficit was too much to overcome and the Lady Jaspers fell by a 60-42 count. It was just Manhattan's second loss since Jan. 4, both of which have come against Marist. Roeder paced Manhattan with 14 points, while Abby Wentworth had nine points, six rebounds and six assists and Nadia Peters tallied seven points, six boards and four steals.
