SERIES HISTORY
Marist took the first meeting this season, 75-52 in Riverdale on Jan. 22, and has won 15 of the last 16 games in the series. However, Manhattan was the last MAAC team to beat Marist, toppling the Red Foxes 65-62 in last year's regular season finale at Draddy Gymnasium. The Lady Jaspers lead the all-time series 22-18, but haven't won in Poughkeepsie since a 72-63 triumph on Feb. 21, 2003.
WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME
The Lady Jaspers posted their school-record 19th regular season victory with a 63-47 triumph over Iona at Draddy Gymnasium on Monday. After a slow start, Manhattan took its first lead, 17-16, on a Nadia Peters jumper midway through the first half, and a Lindsey Loutsenhizer offensive rebound and putback as time expired to make that advantage five points, 29-24, at halftime. The Lady Jaspers extended their lead to 10 early in the second half. Iona got back within four before Abby Wentworth was fouled while shooting a three-pointer. She made two of the free throws to spark a 14-2 run that pushed Manhattan's advantage to 22 points, 63-41, before the Gaels scored the final six points of the game. Monica Roeder tallied game-highs with 19 points and seven rebounds, while Wentworth notched 10 points.
