Manhattan Struggles at Weekend Meets
Bridgeport Gives Women's Swimming Fifth Straight Defeat

RIVERDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattan College Women's swimming team was dominated by the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights on Saturday afternoon falling to the tune of 132-91 at Riverdale Country School. It was the Jaspers (3-6) fifth consecutive loss on the season.

The two winners out of 13 events for Manhattan were Vanessa L'Heureux who won the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:47.95 seconds, finishing just ahead of her teammate Mary Kate O'Leary. Alyssa Maccarrone also picked up a victory in the 500 yard freestyle event.

Other point getters for the Jaspers included Bridget Latino who took home second place in both the 100 yard backstroke and the 200 yard butterfly.

Manhattan will return home on Fri., Nov. 11 when they host both Hunter and St. Joseph's at 6:30 p.m. at Riverdale Country School.
