TODAY'S GAME
Manhattan (10-5, 2-2 MAAC) continues its three-game road trip this afternoon with a Kid's Day matinee at Rider (1-14, 1-3 MAAC).  The Lady Jaspers have won two straight, including a 58-44 victory at Saint Peter's on Monday night.  Rider picked up its first win of the 2010-11 season on Monday, a 68-58 triumph against Canisius.  Manhattan concludes its road trip at Fairfield on Sunday afternoon, while Rider wraps up a three-game homestand against Saint Peter's on Saturday.

THE LADY JASPERS
The Lady Jaspers (10-5, 2-2 MAAC) enter today's contest looking for their third straight win.  Manhattan is coming off a 58-44 victory at Saint Peter's on Monday.  Senior guard Abby Wentworth had a game-high 21 points against the Peahens, and leads the Lady Jaspers with 13.7 points per game.  She also leads Manhattan in assists (4.4 apg) and steals (3.1 spg).  Junior forward Lindsey Loutsenhizer had 19 points on Monday and ranks second on the team in scoring (8.7 ppg).  She also ranks second on the squad in rebounding, averaging 5.0 boards per contest.  Junior forward Nadia Peters averages 6.1 points to go along with her team-high 5.9 rebounds and MAAC-leading 1.7 blocks per game.  Peters also ranks third in the conference in steals (2.5 spg) and hands out 1.9 assists per outing.  The Lady Jaspers play their third road game in seven days when they visit Fairfield on Sunday afternoon.

THE BRONCS
Rider (1-14, 1-3 MAAC) picked up its first victory of the season on Monday night, a 68-58 triumph over Canisius.  Sophomore guard Shereen Lightbourne is Rider's leading scorer with an average of 9.6 points per game.  Junior guard Ali Heller averages 8.8 points per contest and is shooting .516 from three-point range for the season.  Sophomore center Caitlin Bopp averages a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game, which ranks second in the MAAC.  Freshman guard/forward MyNeshia McKenzie, the current MAAC Rookie of the Week, is second on the squad with 6.9 boards per contest, while junior center Sarah Homan averages 6.3 rebounds and a team-high 1.3 blocks per game.  Sophomore guard Dior Brown leads Rider in both assists and steals, averaging 1.5 assists and 1.7 steals per contest.  The Broncs conclude their three-game homestand with a matchup against Saint Peter's on Saturday afternoon.

SERIES HISTORY
The Lady Jaspers and Broncs have split the season series in each of the last two campaigns.  The last time the teams met, Rider posted a 54-46 victory at Alumni Gymnasium on Jan. 31, 2010.  Manhattan notched a 56-44 win at Draddy Gymnasium on Jan. 3, 2010.  Overall, this is the 31st meeting between the schools, and Manhattan holds a 22-8 edge in the all-time series.

WHAT HAPPENED LAST TIME
Abby Wentworth and Lindsey Loutsenhizer combined for 40 points to lead the Lady Jaspers to a 58-44 victory over Saint Peter's at the Yanitelli Center on Monday night.  Wentworth finished with a game-high 21 points, while Loutsenhizer tallied 19.  The contest was tight early on, as the first half featured four ties and seven lead changes, and neither side was able to build a lead larger than four points.  Loutsenhizer had 10 points in the first half, as Manhattan led 25-22 at halftime.  The Lady Jaspers then used an 11-4 run early in the second half to extend their lead to eight, 38-30.  Saint Peter's got back within three at 40-37, but the Lady Jaspers responded with a 5-0 rally, and the lead would never be smaller than five the rest of the way.  Manhattan went 16-for-18 at the free throw line in the second half to ice the 58-44 win.
