MAAC Details Marketing Plan for 2012 Basketball Championships

Men's Track & Field Manhattan Athletic Department

11 Women, 9 Men Selected to MAAC Outdoor Track and Field All-Academic Team

Eleven Manhattan women's track and field performers were among a total of 74 athletes who comprise the 2010 MAAC Women's Outdoor Track All-Academic Team, On the men's side, nine Manhattan College performers were among a total of 45 athletes who make up the 2010 MAAC Men's Outdoor Track All-Academic Team.

The women's and men's All-Academic teams were announced today by the conference at the MAAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Rider University.

To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. 

On the women's side, Marist College led all schools with 22 members named to the team.  Loyola University added 14 student-athletes, and Iona College had 12 representatives.  Manhattan College had 11 student-athletes, and Saint Peter's College had eight members.  Rider University rounded out the team with seven athletes.  On the men's side, Marist College led all schools with 18 members named to the team.  Iona College and Manhattan College both had nine representatives on the squad, while Rider University added six student-athletes.  Saint Peter's College rounded out the team with three athletes.
