RIVERDALE, N.Y. - Manhattan returns to the court on Saturday when the Jaspers travel Brooklyn to face off with Northeast Conference member Long Island (4-5, 2-0 NEC) at 7 p.m. Fans can listen to all the action from the Wellness, Recreation & Athletic Center at GoJaspers.com.
Manhattan (5-5, 1-1 MAAC) visits Long Island for the first time since Nov. 26, 2001 when the Jaspers ran off with a 111-84 win. Six Jaspers scored in double-figures, including a game-high 24 points from Louis Flores '04. Manhattan holds an 11-6 record all-time against the Blackbirds and has won the last three games of this series. Last year, the Jaspers earned a 65-61victory on Dec. 22 at Draddy Gymnasium. Chris Smith scored 20 points, Devon Austin '09 added 12 points and Darryl Crawford scored 10 points and dished out five assists off the bench.
