Today's Game: The Lady Jaspers will take on the Fairfield University Stags in conference play. Manhattan trails Fairfield in the all-time series, 31-33. Last season, both teams split each decision with each team winning on the road. In the Lady J's last win against the Stags, five Manhattan players had 11 or more points in a 74-61 victory. Gabrielle Cottrell led the Lady Jaspers in scoring that game with 16 points on 5-8 from the field. Cottrell averaged 12.0 points a game against Fairfield last season as well as 6.5 rebounds per game. Manhattan was won the last three of four meetings of the teams with their most recent victory coming February 2007.

History Vs. Fairfield: The Lady Jaspers are 31-33 against Fairfield all-time. They are coming into their 65th meeting as the two teams split, with each team wining on the road last season. Manhattan was won two of the last three meetings.

History vs. MAAC: The Lady J's have 196-207 record while playing MAAC opponents. Last season they lost a second round game to MAAC Champion Marist College, 55-42. Manhattan finished 7-11 last year in conference play and is currently 5-1 this season.

From Down Town: Manhattan is currently 2nd in the MAAC in three point shooting percentage as they are shooting an outstanding .379 from behind the arc. Senior Aubrie Dellinger is currently 2nd in the conference in three point percentage and 11th in the NCAA with a 44.1%. Fellow senior Gabrielle Cottrell is 6th on that list with a .415 percentage and 27th in the nation. Manhattan is ranked 18 in the NCAA with a 37.9% three point field goal percentage as a team.

"Four"some: Dellinger, Nwafili, Flood and Cottrell gained valuable experience as freshman, appearing in 25 games together. In the next two years the injury bug bit the quartet consistently as the four only appeard in 14 games as sophomores and just six when they were juniors. This season they have been healthy and that has equated to their success on the court as the Lady J's have improved to a 6-3 record

On the Horizon: With MAAC play in full swing, Manhattan will return to action on Friday, February 15 where they will play the first of a double header against Iona College. Iona is currently one game ahead of the Lady Jaspers in the MAAC standings and they are looking to revenge a last season sweep. Manhattan leads the all-time series 37-18 coming into their 56th meeting between the programs.
