Today's Matchup

Manhattan enters its matchup with Fairfield looking for its fifth consecutive victory over the Stags dating back to the 2005-06 campaign. The Jaspers are also a perfect 2-0 versus Fairfield during the Barry Rohrssen era. Last season, Manhattan held the Stags to just 54 points in both meetings. Over the two contests, the Jaspers' stellar defensive efforts contributed to Fairfield's poor shooting performance. The Stags were 31.1% (33-106) from the field and 23.6% (9-38) from downtown.

Fairfield enters this contest standing 6-6 in league action. The Stags are coming off a 76-72 victory at Niagara on Sunday. Junior guard Jonathan Han, a Brooklyn native, slightly missed a double-double with 16 points and nine assists in 40 minutes of action. Fellow guard Herbie Allen added 15 points.

What's Next???

The Jaspers return to Draddy Gymnasium on Sunday afternoon for its meeting with Canisius at 2 p.m. Earlier this season, Manhattan escaped with a 69-65 win over the Golden Griffins in Buffalo behind Darryl Crawford's 14 points off the bench. It marked the Jaspers first conference road victory of the 2007-08 campaign. Manhattan finishes up its home schedule with Marist (2/15), Siena (2/18) and Binghamton (2/23).
