Jaspers Set to Square off with Iona at the Garden

Today's Matchup

Manhattan is set to engage in its first meeting with Iona this season. The Jaspers are coming off a 79-60 loss to Loyola on Saturday afternoon in Riverdale. Manhattan led by a couple points at the half, but couldn't hold on as the Greyhounds completed the season sweep of the Jaspers. Junior guard Devon Austin led the charge for Manhattan finishing with 19 points connecting on 3-6 3-point field goals.

The Gaels are also in a slump entering tonight's contest having lost eight of its last 10 contests. Iona is riding a three game losing streak falling most recently to Siena (64-51) on Sunday afternoon in New Rochelle. The Gaels went 3-19 (15.8%) from 3-point territory and committed 23 turnovers. The Saints prospered on 29 points off Iona's turnovers.

What's Next???

The Jaspers remain in the New York City metropolitan area for eight of its final nine regular season contests. Manhattan returns to action on Sunday afternoon at Saint Peter's. The Jaspers earned its first league victory against the Peacocks earlier this season defeating Saint Peter's 65-62 at Draddy Gymnasium. Manhattan will remain home for the following five  contests capped off by the ESPN Bracketbuster on Feb. 23.
