MEN'S SOCCER FALLS TO LAFAYETTE, 2-0

Easton, Pa. (September 25, 2007)- Two goals off set pieces in the first half was the difference in Lafayette's, 2-0, win over Manhattan tonight at Metzgar Field.

The Leopards' first goal came off a corner kick, as Mike Tilly headed home a cross from Anthony Sepe at the 12:10 mark.

Just over 20 minutes later, Sepe, off a restart, again found the head of a teammate, this time Luke Sullivan, to give Lafayette a 2-0 lead.

Manhattan turned up the offensive pressure in the second half, matching the Leopards shot for shot, but each goalkeeper tallied two saves to keep both sides from finding the back of the net.

John Ciano recorded three saves for Manhattan, while Fernando Londono registered three shots to pace the Jaspers' offense.

Manhattan returns to action on Saturday, September 29, hosting local and boro rival Fordham University at 7:00 p.m. at Gaelic Park.  The 40th Anniversary of Manhattan College Men's Soccer will be celebrated throughout the contest.
