Sacramento, Calif. (June 8, 2007)? Dexter Jules had done it before not long ago, but unfortunately the junior triple jumper could not do it again on Friday afternoon at the NCAA Track and Field Championships hosted by Sacramento State University.

Jules triple jumped 15.86m to finish fourth at the NCAA East Regional Championships and qualify for this week's national championships.

In Friday afternoon's qualifying round at the NCAA Track and Field Championships, a mark of 15.86m was also good enough for fourth place and a ticket to Saturday's final, but Jules' best mark measured 15.35m (50' 4.50”).  As a result, the IC4A title holder finished 19th overall.

Muhammed Halim of Cornell finished atop the field with a preliminary mark of 16.03m to lead the group of 12 qualifiers into the final round, which will begin at 1:00 p.m. EST on Saturday.

Manhattan junior Milan Jotanovic will vie for NCAA Outdoor All-American honors on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. EST.  The day's competition will be televised nationally by CBS.
