Princeton, N.J. (May 12, 2007)?Zoran Loncar, Paul Peulich, and Seid Mujanovic all threw over 200 feet during Saturday's men's hammer competition at the IC4A Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Princeton University.  Unfortunately for the three Jaspers, Liberty University's Jon Hart was able to eclipse 212 feet with his top mark to steal the title away from Manhattan hands.

Hart's throw of 64.88m (212' 10”) spoiled the Manhattan's hope to have the top three finishers in the event as Loncar, Peulich, and Mujanovic finished second, third, and fourth, respectively.

Peulich, who threw 62.25m (204' 3”), was the defending champion.  Loncar won the title in 2005 as part of Manhattan's record-breaking feat that season, but the senior had to settle for the runner-up spot on Saturday with a mark of 63.21 (207' 4”).  Two years ago at the same meet, Loncar led the Jaspers to a 1-2-3-4 finish to mark only the second time in meet history that any school produced the top four finishers in the same competition.

Coming off his MAAC hammer title from last weekend, Mujanovic threw 61.17m (200' 8”).

Manhattan senior Nick Newman also picked up team points for the Jaspers on Saturday with a fourth place finish in the long jump.  Newman jumped 7.28m (23' 10.75”) to earn All-East honors.

The Jaspers have a heavier schedule on Sunday with entries in the men's and women's triple jumps, the men's 800m, the men's high jump, and the men's shot put amongst others.
