Riverdale, N.Y. (November 17, 2007) -  By grabbing a 51-44 win over Saint Peter's, the Manhattan College women's swim team won its 13th meet of the year and broke its single season record for wins set just last season.  The win came in a tri-dual meet that also included Siena, which topped the Lady Jaspers 75-20.

In the meet against Saint Peter's the Lady J's and the Lady P'hen swimmers were tied at 44 going into the last event, the 200 yard freestyle relay, but the quartet of freshmen Debbie Atwell and Diana Rossetti and sophomores Kellie Monaco and Catherine Chan breezed to victory in 1:52.57 to garner the record setting win for the swim squad.  In other notable performances, freshman Kayla Hutzler has a good runner-up performance in the 100 yard breaststroke, posting a 1:15.33.

Manhattan will return to action on Thursday, January 10th as they travel to Lahiana, Maui to take on Minnesota native MacAlester College.
