Liz Pennino in a 6-0 shutout win in the nightcap, as
Kiera Fox became the Lady Jaspers' all-time home runs leader.
In the second game, the Lady Jaspers scored early and often, plating one in the top of the second when Deirdre Landgan walked and later scored on a passed ball, and two more in the third as St. Joe's errors on three consecutive batted balls allowed
Kiera Fox and Langan to score.
Fox was at it again in the fourth, as she followed a Lyndzie Phillips leadoff walk with her fourth homer of the season, which gives her 23 for her Manhattan career, moving her into first place all-time.
Fox scored her third run of the game, the game's sixth, in the sixth inning, as she singled, stole second, and scored on
Tina Buyea's RBI single.
Pennino scatterd six hits, and walked just one, striking out four for her first win of the season.
In the opener, the Hawks took advantage of two Manhattan first inning errors to prolong the inning, leading to a grand slam.
In the top of the fourth,
Stefanie Gozdziewski and Fox both singled, then, during a double steal attempts, Godzdiewski came around to score on an throwing error.
In the bottom of the frame, St. Joe's put the game away with an RBI single and a second grand slam, ending the game after five innings due to the eight run rule.
