Princeton, N.J. (December 8, 2006)?Although much of the Manhattan Track and Field squad  is set to compete at Saturday's Yale Lidlifter, a select group of Jasper athletes, mainly jumpers, made their way down the New Jersey Turnpike to participate in Princeton University's New Year's Invitational.

A week after setting a new indoor personal best of 12.50m in the triple jump at the Manhattan Opener, Tiina Magi produced a new PR in the long jump with a Metropolitan Championship qualifying mark of 5.49m.  Magi also competed in the high jump, finishing second only to teammate Caitlyn Kjolhede.  Both Lady Jaspers cleared 1.65m, but Kjolhede did so only an early attempt to take the crown.

In the men's high jump, Chris Sole jumped 2.06m for the second consecutive week to finish second within the field.

Manhattan graduate student Meredith Mante, who joined the Lady Jaspers this year for her finally year of eligibility, returned to her alma mater and registered a mark of 3.15m for fourth place in the pole vault.

Dexter Jules, who won both the triple jump and long jump titles at the 2006 MAAC Indoor Championships, doubled in the long jump and 60m dash on Friday evening, posting marks of 6.86m and 7.07s, respectively.
