MEN'S TRACK & FIELD FINISHED FOURTH AT IC4A CHAMPIONSHIPS

Princeton, NJ (May 16, 2005)- The men's track & field team finished fourth at the IC4A Championships this past weekend. Junior Zoran Loncar was the lone Jasper to capture a championship title. Loncar won the Hammer Throw with this seasons best toss of 63.15m.

Eleven Jaspers competed on the third day. Starting with the men, freshman Milan Jotanovic placed second in the Shot Put with his throw of 18.56m. Sophomore Christano Johnson captured fourth place in the High Jump after vertically jumping 2.04m. In the Triple Jump, freshman Dexter Jules finished fifth with a leap of 15.17m. Placing 18th in the event was Johnson (14.24m), and finishing in 21st place was sophomore Andrew Pellet (13.78m). In the running events, junior Tyler Raymond took 15th place in the 1500m finishing in a time of 3:51.27 and sophomore Joseph Cruz finished 32nd in the 110m Hurdles crossing the finish line in a time of 15.19 seconds.

On the women's side, sophomore Caitlyn Kjolhede was the top finisher placing 11th in the High Jump, 1.65m. Junior Jessica Jansson finished 15th after her leap of 1.65m. In the Triple Jump, sophomore Tiina Magi finished 13th with a leap of 11.74m. The last Jasper to compete was freshman Jasmine Rogers. Rogers competed in the preliminaries for the 100m Hurdle qualifying for the semi-finals with a time of 14.36 seconds. In the semi-final round, Rogers fell to 15th place earning a time of 15.14 seconds.

The next competition for the Jaspers will be the NCAA Regionals hosted by Manhattan College at Icahn Stadium in New York, NY on Randall's Island. The competition begins on Friday, May 27 and ends on Saturday, May 28. The Following Jaspers will be competing:
