Tempe, AZ (March 22, 2005)- Track & Field competed in the second day of the Baldy Castillo Invitational in Tempe, AZ. The men's 4x800m Relay team finished in 7:52.68 qualifying for the IC4A Championships. The team consisted of senior
Matt Reilly, and juniors
Joshua Conklin,
Todd Raymond and
Tyler Raymond.
In the Triple Jump, sophomore
Andrew Pellet placed fourth with his leap of 14.01m and freshman Dexter Jules leaped 13.94m for fifth place. Three of the Jaspers finished in the top 10 in the Discus competition. Junior
Michael Freeman finished seventh with his throw of 40.07. Freshman
Paul Peulich threw 40.00m for eighth place and senior Nils Petterson finished ninth with his toss of 39.36m.
Freshman
Margus Must competed in the 100m Dash finishing in eighth place with a time of 11.31 seconds. The men's 4x100m Relay team finished fourth completing the race in 42.93 seconds. Team members were sophomores
Joseph Cruz,
Nick Newman, and freshmen Dexter Jules and
Margus Must.
Sophomore Tiina Magi placed third in the Triple Jump with her leap of 11.56m. Magi also competed in the High Jump finishing in fourth place with a vertical jump of 1.65m. Freshman Caitlyn Kjolhede took fifth place in the High Jump with her jump of 1.60m.
The women's 4x100m Relay team, senior Rachel McGee, junior Jenna Daly,
Jessica Jansson and Magi, captured third place finishing in a time of 51.25 seconds.
The Jaspers compete again on Wednesday, March 23 at the Arizona Multi in Scottsdale, AZ.
