SWIMMING RUNS WIN STREAK TO SIX WITH DOUBLE-DUAL WINS OVER ST. JOSEPH'S AND OLD WESTBURY

Patchogue, NY (December 3,2005)- Manhattan posted its sixth straight win, posting a double-dual meet win over St. Joseph's College, 57-46, and Old Westbury, 55-37. With the two wins, the Lady Jaspers are off to their best ever start after 11 meets. The two wins also move Manhattan past the 125 win mark since the 1989-90. The wins also give head coach Walter Olsewski 75 career wins.

Courtney Arduini and Nicole Mason each won multiple events for Manhattan, as Arduini placed first in the 50 breast (35.24), 100 breast (1:18.48), and 100 fly (106.13), while also leading off the winning 200 medley relay team. Mason, who anchored the 200 medley relay squad, also touched first in the 200 IM (2:29.93), and the 100 IM (1:10.26), and was a part of the winning 400 free relay team that posted a time of 3:55.54, the second fastest result in school history.

Manhattan returns to the pool on Saturday, December 10, hosting MAAC foe Siena College at 2:00 p.m. Lady Jasper seniors Heather Kennedy, Lauren Sullivan, and Bethany Karbowski will be honored before the meet, which also serves as Manhattan swimming's Homecoming meet.
