SWIMMING IMPROVES TO 2-0 WITH 109-83 WIN OVER ST. FRANCIS-N.Y.

Riverdale, N.Y. (November 4, 2005)- Courtney Arduini and Megan O'Keefe each won two individual events and were also part of the victorious 200 Medley Relay team, as Manhattan posted a 109-83 win over St. Francis-N.Y. tonight at Riverdale Country Day School. The Lady Jaspers improve to 2-0 on the young season.

After Rachele Testa and Maura McGowan teamed up with Arduini and O'Keefe to place first in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:59.68, Arduini went on to touch first in the 100 Fly, in a time of 1:04.42, and the 100 Breaststroke, in a time of 1:15.67.

O'Keefe placed first in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:20.03, just off the school record, before breaking the school record in the 100 Free, touching in first with a time of 56.45, breaking the previous record by .19.

Other event winners for Manhattan were Nicole Mason in the 200 Free (2:11.36), and McGowan in the 50 Free (26.14).

Manhattan returns to the pool on Saturday, November 5, traveling to Bridgeport, Conn. to take on Bridgeport and Sacred Heart at 1:00 p.m.
