WOMEN'S SWIMMING FALLS TO C.W. POST

Riverdale, NY (January 29, 2005)- The women's swimming team dropped a 109.5-79.5 decision on Saturday to C.W. Post at Riverdale Country School. However, the 200 medley relay team of Nicole Mason, Courtney Arduini, Sarah Szotak, and Maura McGowan set a new school record of 2:00.08 in the event.

In the 1000 free, Meghan Daly (13:09.87) and Heather Kennedy each (12:21.33) each posted personal bests in the distance event, while Arduini finished second in the 100 fly and 100 breaststroke and Szotak finished second in the 100 backstroke.

Manhattan's record falls to 8-4 with the decision. With a record of 1-2 in the MAAC, the Lady Jaspers will close out the year with two more meets against three teams, including two MAAC foes, before the MAAC Championships will take place on February 16-19.

The team will return to competition on Friday, February 4, in a MAAC meet against Fairfield at Riverdale Country School. First race is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
