Jamaica, NY (Septmeber 27, 2004)- St. Francis downed Manhattan, 3-0 Monday night at Belson Stadium on the campus of St. John's University. With the win the Terriers improve to 3-4-1, while the Jaspers drop to 1-5.
The Terriers took a 1-0 lead into halftime by virtue of a Paul Nittoli goal in the 11th minute.
Alessandro Acquista gave St. Francis a 2-0 lead early in the second half. The Jasper's turned up the offesive pressure, but Terrier goalkeeper Karl-Anders Knutsen kept Manhattan off the scoreboard, totalling seven saves on the day.
The Terriers added a late goal for the final margin.
Collin Leaver recorded nine saves for Manhattan.
The Jaspers return to action on Saturday, October 2, when Manhattan travels to Adelphi for a 12 noon kickoff.
