GOLF SPLITS DOUBLE-DUAL WITH ST. PETER'S AND WAGNER

West Orange, NJ (September 21, 2004)- Despite playing without the services of their #2 golfer, Danny Sirico, the Jasper golf team had a good showing in a double dual match against St. Peter's and Wagner at the 6,590-yard, Par-71 Rock Spring Club in West Orange, NJ, defeating St. Peter's 312-334, and narrowly missing the sweep, falling to Wagner by just three strokes, 309-312. Senior Tim Hand had the low round for Manhattan, scoring a four-over-par 75, good for a tie for second.

Scott Burton (76), who placed in a tie for fourth, Corey Barringer (80), who placed sixth, and Chris Vieau (81), who placed in a tie for seventh, round out the Manhattan scoring four.

Other Manhattan finishers were Sean Oroho (84), who placed in a tie for ninth, and Kevin Judge (101), who did not score.

Wagner's Pete Aloiso took home medalist honors after putting up an even-par round of 71.

Next up for the Jasper linksmen is the Susquehana College Fall Invitational, which kicks off Friday, September 24 in Druma, PA.
