West Orange, NJ (September 21, 2004)- Despite playing without the services of their #2 golfer,
Danny Sirico, the Jasper golf team had a good showing in a double dual match against St. Peter's and Wagner at the 6,590-yard, Par-71 Rock Spring Club in West Orange, NJ, defeating St. Peter's 312-334, and narrowly missing the sweep, falling to Wagner by just three strokes, 309-312. Senior
Tim Hand had the low round for Manhattan, scoring a four-over-par 75, good for a tie for second.
Scott Burton (76), who placed in a tie for fourth,
Corey Barringer (80), who placed sixth, and
Chris Vieau (81), who placed in a tie for seventh, round out the Manhattan scoring four.
Other Manhattan finishers were
Sean Oroho (84), who placed in a tie for ninth, and Kevin Judge (101), who did not score.
Wagner's Pete Aloiso took home medalist honors after putting up an even-par round of 71.
Next up for the Jasper linksmen is the Susquehana College Fall Invitational, which kicks off Friday, September 24 in Druma, PA.
