Syracuse, NY (September 11, 2004)- Manhattan was swept twice on the second day of the Big Orange Invitational, dropping its first match of the day to Cleveland State (30-19, 30-28, 30-20) and its second match to the University of New Hampshire, also in three games (30-26, 31-29, 30-24).

Ashley Watson had seven kills while Megan O'Dorisio notched six kills to lead a balanced attack against Cleveland State while the Vikings used 15 total blocks to thwart the Lady Jaspers' offense. Cleveland State improved its record to 2-2.

Maggie Pfeifer led Manhattan in its match against UNH, recording 11 kills, 14 digs and three service aces. Ashley Davis also made 14 digs in a match that saw several long rallies. Katie Weidner paced UNH with 40 assists and 10 digs, while Sarah Rehn spiked 10 kills and made 13 digs. UNH evened its record at 3-3 while Manhattan saw its record fall to 1-6.

The Lady Jaspers will return to the court on Wednesday, September 15 when they will take on St. John's at Draddy Gymnasium. Game time is 7:00 p.m.
