WOMEN'S SWIMMING SWEEPS DOUBLE DUAL MEET FOR FIFTH STRAIGHT WIN

Patchogue, NY (December 4, 2004)- The Manhattan College women's swimming team defeated St. Joseph's (NY) and SUNY-Old Westbury in a double dual meet on Saturday afternoon, defeating St. Joseph's 63-51 and SUNY-Old Westbury 69-31. Manhattan captured its fifth consecutive win of the season and clinched a winning record for the 15th straight year.

Manhattan won all 14 events during the meet, paced by quad event winners Nicole Mason (Yorktown, NY/Yorktown) and Maura McGowan (Kalamazoo, MI/Hatchett Catholic Central). Courtney Arduini (Selkirk, NY/Bethlehem Central) was a triple event winner, while Sarah Szotak won the 100 IM and was part of Manhattan's relay teams that were victorious in the 200 free and 200 medley relays.

Manhattan will return to the pool in eight weeks, on January 29, 2005, when they will host C.W. Post in a meet at Riverdale Country School, beginning at 2:00 p.m.
