SACRED HEART DOWNS SWIMMING, 139-91

Fairfield, CT (November 1, 2003)- Despite two more school record setting performances, the Lady Jasper swimmers fell to Sacred Heart, 139-91, on Saturday at Sacred Heart. Freshman Courtney Arduini won three events for Manhattan.

Arduini, who had set or contributed to five school records in the season opening win over C.W. Post, was again the pace setter for Manhattan, winning three events. She set a new school record while winning the 200 free, touching in at 2:04.15. She broke the old record, set in 1992, by over 14 seconds. She also won the 100 fly in a time of 1:02.28, and the 100 back with a time of 1:04.58.

Fellow freshman Sarah Szotak also got in on the record setting day, bettering her own school record (set against C.W. Post) by finishing in a time of 26.54.

The Lady Jaspers return to the pool on Saturday, November 8, when they host MAAC foe Siena at 4:30 p.m. at the Sarah Lawrence Pool.
