Long-time Division I head coach Ron Ganulin joins the Jasper Basketball staff as an assistant coach. Most recently, Ganulin, a New York native, served as the coordinator of player development for the Wizards during the 2005-06 season.

In addition to his time with the Wizards, Ganulin brings a wealth of Division I coaching experience to Manhattan. Most recently at the college level, Ganulin was the head coach of St. Francis (N.Y.) for 14 seasons dating from 1991 through 2005. As a college head coach, Ganulin accumulated over 200 wins and was twice named the Northeast Conference's Coach of the Year. From 1998 through 2004, St. Francis posted a 78-36 conference record, which was tops in the NEC. During that span, Ganulin guided the Terriers to two Northeast Conference Regular Season Championships as well as their best single-season record in school history.

“I truly appreciate the commitment of Br. Thomas Scanlan and the efforts of athletic director Bob Byrnes in providing our program the ability to have coach Ganulin on our staff,” said Rohrssen. “Ron is a person of high character whose experience and credentials will be an asset to our college.”

Prior to his tenure at St. Francis, Ganulin reached the pinnacle of the college basketball world as an assistant coach with UNLV. Ganulin helped the team capture the 1990 NCAA National Championship. During his four-year stay in Las Vegas, the Rebels enjoyed a 126-23 record.

Throughout his career, Ganulin also served assistant coaching stints at Old Dominion University, Saint Peter's College, New York Tech, and C.W. Post.

Before he began his coaching career, Ganulin played collegiate basketball at Long Island University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1968. During his senior season, LIU advanced to the Division II National Collegiate Semifinals.
