John Lade

John Lade is in his third season with the Manhattan men's lacrosse program, following an impressive collegiate playing career.

He currently plays defense for the Rochester Rattlers of Major League Lacrosse (MLL).

One of the nations top defenders, Lade spent three years on the Syracuse men's lacrosse team, leading the Orange as one of the more dominant teams in Division I lacrosse. A 2011 graduate, he was a three time All-American player and earned first-team honors twice.

In both 2010 and 2011 he was named First-Team BIG EAST while garnering the 2011 Division I Defenseman of the Year award. Lade spent his freshman year at Villanova and was named a First-Team All-CAA player, earning a spot on the 2008 U-19 USA Gold Medal Team, before transferring.

During his high school campaign, Lade impressed Manitta playing against him at Randolph high school in New Jersey. There he was a two-time high school All-American and the 2007 N.J. Defenseman of the Year.
